The 2nd series Rover 200/400, 1990 to 1995 models, was based on the Honda Concerto and those 1.6 Rover's did use the Honda engine - some of the Rover 216GTi's got a twin cam version of the engine. All the body panels were different, some of the interior trim such as the switches, dash and steering wheel were carried over. The front suspension on the Rover is MacPheron Strut with coils springs. The car 4882 currently has multiple world records in the pro stock/all motor class using a naturally aspirated SOHC Honda engine. Accolades in past seasons include a 2003 IDRC All Motor Class Championship. The 2004 race season held vast potential for our team. With a best elapsed time of 10.02 and a best mph of 138.48 at sanctioned events, powerplant upgrades and testing occurred, yielding significant performance improvements of 9.81 second elapsed times.
