...rear gearbox/engine mount is different between the rover and the rex as the gearbox casings are different, the loom from your car should plug straight in as long as they are both the DOHC D16, as some rovers had sohc even the odd GTis for some reason " "Jons right, I used these engines in my CRX. You need to use your honda gearbox, the rover ones have a different casing. You need to use your CRX lomb and ECU. But thats what you'd do anyway. You may need to use your honda clutch and flywheel as they were a barsteward for using different splines on the gearbox input shaft/clutch plate. Go for it, its a straight forwards simple swap. Same engine."
