...clarify a few things: • the Polish King Bolesław Chrobry was a legitimate successor of the Kievian king, Yaroslav Mudry. Yaroslav Mudry did not have a son and appointed Chrobry as his successor. • Poland united with Lithuania in 1385 and became a federal country. The official language in Grand Duchy of Lithuania was Oldbelorussian, not Lithuanian. There were not so large number of ethnic Lithuanians in this country. Grand Duchy of Lithuania competed with Grand Duchy of Moscow for unifying of the ethnic Russian lands at that time. Poland as a federal part of that Commonwealth did not have a common border with
